Painkillers Are Killing You Slowly
That little white pill you just popped is doing more damage than the pain itself.
Painkillers are one of the most abused substances on the planet.
And most people have no idea what they are doing to their bodies.
I am not talking about rare, emergency use. I am talking about the daily habit millions have developed.
A headache? Pop a pill. Back pain? Pop a pill. Knee ache? Pop a pill.
Here is what nobody tells you.
NSAIDs like ibuprofen destroy your gut lining. They punch microscopic holes in your intestinal wall. This leads to a condition called leaky gut.
Once your gut is compromised, inflammation spreads everywhere. The very thing you took to reduce pain now creates more of it.
Acetaminophen decimates your liver's glutathione reserves. Glutathione is your body's master antioxidant.
Without it, your detoxification pathways collapse. Your cells age faster. Your immunity drops.
Opioid painkillers hijack your brain's dopamine system. They rewire your neural circuits. Dependency can begin in as few as five days of regular use.
So what should you do instead?
Address the root cause. Most chronic pain is driven by inflammation. And inflammation is driven by what you eat, how you sleep, and how you move.
I use omega 3 fatty acids from wild caught fish. These convert into resolvins, molecules that actively resolve inflammation at the cellular level.
I practice intermittent fasting. Fasting activates autophagy, your body's cellular cleanup crew. Damaged, pain signaling cells get recycled.
Fresh ones take their place.
I prioritize deep sleep. Growth hormone released during deep sleep is your most potent natural painkiller and tissue repair agent.
I use ginger and cumin. They are two of the most powerful pain killers known to humankind.
Pain is a signal, not a sentence. Listen to it. Do not silence it with chemicals that create bigger problems down the road.
Your body already has the pharmacy it needs. You just have to activate it.
