Gut Health: what is the cure?

There is a renewed interest in your gut. It is as though the gut is not the seat of and the reason for almost everything. Stress, mood, immunity, longevity. Perhaps even your marathon run time.

So what is the truth?

To say that your gut is responsible for your health is like saying your body is. Of course it is. How can it not be? Everything in your body is responsible for your health.

But the real question is not whether it is. It is about whether there is a way for you to understand your gut and what you can do about it.

The easiest way to understand gut health or dysbiosis, if you want a scientific term, is to look for symptoms. If you have symptoms such as gas, acidity, indigestion, low immunity, your gut is affected.

A test will not tell you anything new.

We tried it as well. We quickly stopped once we realized that the recommendations made once you test are generic and cookie cutter.

The reason was the inability to truly link the status of your gut to a specific cure. You need R&D for it. Billions of dollars that lead to the development of what would end up becoming medication.

Yes you guessed it right.

It is already being done and it is called medicine. If you have a serious gut ailment, a doctor would prescribe you medicine.

So what is the cure?

The answer lies in your lifestyle. It lies in balance.

You cant eat more than you need. You cant eat junk all the time. You cant drink excessively and then magically fix it with a probiotic.

You need to live within the capacity of your body to digest food. Both quality and quantity. Once you do, your gut will get better.

Once it does, your symptoms will get better.
