Health - Its made in the kitchen
I have been writing for ten years now. Every day, barring a few breaks. The most important lesson I learned about health?
Health is made in your kitchen at home.
We all love food. Childhood was best around the kitchen, Grandma fussing over us with delicacies. It didn’t change as we grew older. I am yet to meet a person who does not love food.
Here is the strange thing.
It is both natural and healthy to love food so much. It is vital to have a really good relationship with food. One where you look forward to what you eat.
Which is why getting your kitchen right is vital.
The ingredients, the way they are stored, the way you chop, cut, boil or cook your food.
Where you get your spices from, how long you have stored them. Where you get your vegetables or fruit or grain from.
I know! For many of us, we have outsourced this role.
Perhaps you dont like cooking. Perhaps you have more important things to do.
Sure, I get you. It is not my intention to advise you on how to live your life. Merely to suggest that the best way to live a good life is by having a healthy vibrant kitchen.
So who ever is cooking for you, make sure they understand your goals. Make sure they understand hygiene.
Make sure they understand what it means to cook tasty but healthy food.
If you think that board meetings or social gatherings suck your time, so be it. Find someone who can teach the person cooking for you, what he or she needs to know.
I can assure you good health is made in the kitchen. Made by marrying knowlege with good operational habits when cooking.
If you are a corporate titan, government functionary or professional, think how tightly you would run your professional ship.
Your kitchen at home should be run the same way!
